Available to adopt

Hi, my name is Angel. I'm a female crema Labrador Type and I'm 7 years old. I'm a medium sized dog. I weigh 20.00kg . I'll be neutered as soon as I've settled in. I'm good with other dogs but the team here are still getting to know me and don't yet know how I get along with cats or children. But I love to meet new friends and I'll be getting socialised with them soon and we'll keep you posted. I've had my vaccinations and have my chip and passport so I'm ready to travel to a new forever home in Spain, or (unless otherwise mentioned) anywhere in Europe.

Unfortunately I am not available for re-homing just yet because I have issues resulting from my previous life. That I cannot speak of, but the consequences have caused a traumatic affect on me which has made me exceptionally nervous, especially of any unexpected sounds when my instinct is to run and hide. My fosterers understand my needs and my bed is my safe place where I spend most of my time. I love my bed, although wasn't sure when I first arrived what it was for and especially that it was just for me. I am free to wander around if I wish, but it is too hard for me to go far, although my fosterer takes me for short walks on the lead. It's nice to get back to my safe place though. My eyesight isn't good so of course that doesn't help. I have something called a cataract in my right eye.
Although my fosterers are very kind to me, I find it hard to trust people and am finding it hard to understand what affection is. I am not complaining, just confused. I have been in my foster home for almost 3 months and my behaviour has been observed, so now I am being referred to someone who is going to help me feel more comfortable with life. So I will keep you posted on my progress and maybe get pictures on my page. Don't hold your breath though, as it may take a while, although I am hopeful.
