Valentia is 4 years old and she has spent most of her life in the Campo roaming with the other dogs, getting food and water where they can.
Few couples in Iznate have found her with her mates and started to feed them to gain their confidence. Until one day she was found pregnant in January 2024 and she suddenly disappeared few weeks after. They knew that she went to have her babies but could not find her hiding place until one day a villager got in contact with our AAR volunteer living in the village to say that he had the puppies and the mother on his property. Valentia gave birth to 9 puppies on 1st Feb 2024.

As the villager could get near her and catch her, AAR managed to secure her place in the kennels where she is there now enjoying her life in a safer environment.
Valentia is doing well in the kennels - she starts to trust humans around her - she is smiling more and not afraid of approaching them.
Also she is enjoying the company of other dogs in the kennels and she is learning to play too.
Valentia is undergoing a training to walk on the lead & so far she is progressing well.

Valentia is fully vaccinated, chipped with passport and neutered too.
Valentia is now ready to be adopted here in Spain where she can enjoy her life with a family who can give her all the care, love and attention she needs. She can be a good companion to someone who is willing to give her more training and provide a secure and safe home.
