My measurements are head to floor 66cm, shoulder to floor 52cm, and I am 79cm nose to tail.

Follow my story as the team get to know my character and my health needs, When I am well enough I can start my vaccinations and be ready for adoption. I can look forward to what the future holds.

WEEK 8.
I continue to make great health improvements and have settled into home life and routines in my foster home.
This week I started my vaccinations as I get ready for adoption.
I went to the Dog Beach again and went up to lots of dogs and humans to greet them, I am very polite and curious.

WEEK 7.
I had a great week. I am looking and feeling a lot better. I went to the vets for a check up and am now fit enough to start vaccinations next week. Clara my emergency vet had a cuddle in the clinic, she has been so invested in my recovery since first day of rescue and was very pleased with my progress. My skin is healing and my hair is now shiny and soft, and I have put on 5 kilo in those 7 weeks, it shows how emaciated I was. I also went to Dog Club where I learned sit, recall and socialised with the dogs and humans, I had a lovely time.

WEEK 5.
I continued to improve this week, my weigh-in showed I put on another two kilos since the last weigh-in three weeks ago, my collar is starting to fit a little better.
This weekend I saw the Sea for the first time when I went to the Dog Beach at Torre del Mar, I enjoyed meeting lots of dogs and was a little puzzled by the sounds and movement of the waves. I slept very well that night.
I am revealing myself as a little sock-stealer, my foster parents have had to retrieve some soggy socks from me.
My hair is growing back. I am going to be so handsome!

WEEK 4.
This weekend I hosted my first dinner party, meeting new people and making new friends, watching the sunset together and giving my trust within minutes of meeting them.
The next day I went to my first Dog Club where I was given a warm welcome by more new friends - canine and humans alike. I was such a good boy, taking it all in and watching the other doggos do their thing. I sat with my new human friend that I met the night before, while my foster parents "worked" with my foster doggos. I tried not to laugh. Today I went to the lake for my walk and sat with my humans in the cafe.
My weight and health continues to improve, I am still missing a lot of hair and my skin needs to heal properly but my foster parents are seeing improvements in that and my energy levels. I now run down the driveway when getting ready for my morning walk and can now get up on the sofa where I enjoy snuggles.
I continue to take these new experiences in my stride, I am told I am so sweet natured and trusting.

WEEK 3.
Today I celebrated 3 weeks of freedom by going on my longest walk yet, 3km! This week my foster family have seen a big improvement in my energy levels as I responds to his medications and supplements (and of course my regular meals). Even getting into the car is so much easier for me, it's these little milestones that make everyone so happy.
This week I had my second medicated bath to help my skin recover, I wasn't a fan but I know they are trying to help me and I accept these treatments.
I still have a long way to go to get to my ideal weight (I was less than half of that when I was found) but I will get there! I love my food.
I do full-on bum wiggles when I see my foster family in the morning, I really am so full of love. My favourite thing is to rest my chin on you while I get my strokes and tickles in. I discovered soft toys this week too and like my little pink pig to snuggle with (and chew on) in my bed.
I particularly adore my male foster sibling doggie and follow him around, waiting for him on walks and sniff where he sniffs.
I am good on the lead, meeting other dogs with a tail wag on walks and generally am starting to enjoy my life.
I am still a little shy with sudden movements, so my foster family thinks I was abused before rescue as I do flinch.

WEEK 2.
It's been two weeks since I was rescued.
I've now gained three kilos in weight.
I'm on lots of supplements and vitamins as well as medication to help improve my health.
This weekend was about walks by the river to start building up my muscles, little by little.
I'm getting on great with my foster dogs and cats.

WEEK 1.
It's been a week since I was rescued in a terrible condition. I went to the lake with my foster family.
I am gaining weight, on medication and learning how to be part of a household. I'm told I am a gentleman.

RESCUE DAY AND WEEK
One Sunday morning (hence my name) I was on a country track and some humans in a car approached. Now, I was used to running away from cars and them just passing me by, but this time the car stopped and a lady came out. We followed each other around the car a few times until she got a treat bag out of the car and then I was interested! She sat down with me on the track for a while and hand fed me treats and then slipped a lead over my head (oh I didn’t see that came with the treat bag!) and we got in the car.
She then rushed me to the vets, because it was a Sunday it took a few phone calls but we were on our way to see Clara, a kind lady vet. It took me a while to get to the door because I wasn’t feeling too well. Clara was very shocked at what I looked like, she said I was lucky to be rescued because I only had maybe a few weeks left to live if no one had helped me. She examined me, scanned for a chip (there wasn’t one) and took a big grass seed out of my ear canal and extracted more out of my skin, along with some ticks. I was weighed and some blood was taken so they could check my health in more detail as I am so emaciated and have a lot of hair loss.
Then I got back in the car and the lady took me into her home. I was given a bath, some medication for the ticks and fleas and then water and food. This is now my foster home and I can relax. I have my own collar and lead too, I will be a handsome boy.

It's been a few days since rescue, I am getting used to being in a home, I am sleeping a lot because it’s been so tiring having to survive on my own and I am still quite weak. I am given frequent, small meals during the day and started my house training. I love sardines, sausages and veggies.

I wag my tail when I see my foster parents and their dogs and enjoy the company. I love resting my chin in my foster parents' hands and having gentle stokes. I come when I am called. The cats are still a mystery as they just tend to stare at me, I wonder if we will be friends soon? I haven’t yet been on any long walks as I am so weak, but I think I will be good at walking on the lead.
